Creative Growth, Community Connections and the Development of Thistles: Inner Strength, Perseverance and Resilience

Naomi continued her artistic development through regular gallery visits, courses in sewing, etching, Japanese knotting, kitchen lithography and life drawing, building her skills and confidence. Attempts to connect with other artists were unsuccessful due to scheduling challenges but hopes they can happen in October/November. She has begun developing a new series of work exploring Thistles:Inner strength, perseverance, and resilience, which she hopes to exhibit at the church in spring 2027. She continued to lead the Locke School Parents and Caregivers Crochet Circle, completing a colorful yarn mural for the school garden and beginning work on fifth-grade graduation blankets, involving seniors from PCC Kings Tower. Naomi also maintained a presence at the church two to three days a week, using the sanctuary as a workspace and meeting regularly with the rector to discuss renovations, parish life and the continued development of the residency.
