| Grantee Highlight: Raquel Toledo | |
|
Raquel Toledo is an academic advisor at Fuller Theological Seminary, where she serves as the coordinator and mentor for the Centro Latino’s Diploma of Integral Leadership of Latina Women. A dedicated educator with over 25 years of local church leadership, she has authored “DIGNA: Cómo vestirte de fuerza, honor, y paz” (2021) and frequently speaks throughout the United States and Latin America. She is focused on equipping Latina women with the theological and practical tools for effective ministerial leadership. In March, supported by a HUB Congregations and Communities grant, Raquel launched her advocacy campaign, Toda tú eres bella: El verdadero amor (All of you is beautiful: True love), a faith-based initiative aimed at combatting Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) among Spanish-speaking Latinas in Chicago, Houston, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The campaign is founded on the core principles of restoring hearts, transforming minds, and empowering lives, utilizing the affirming biblical message from Song of Solomon 4:7 to help survivors rebuild their self-worth.
